Choosing Your Wedding Florist: A Few Petal-Perfect Tips from Me to You
Planning your wedding blooms should feel just as special as saying yes to the dress. As a florist, I know the process can feel overwhelming—so let me share a few little insights to help you find the right floral fit for your day.
“Yes, florists come at all price points.“
But what you’re really paying for is the quality of flowers, the time and attention you receive, and the experience your florist brings to the table. A lower quote might mean bulk blooms and a packed schedule, while a higher one often reflects premium flowers, custom designs, and a more boutique, personal approach.
At Demavi, we’re proudly on the higher end—and with good reason. We pour love, care, and artistry into every bouquet. We source exceptional blooms and take on a limited number of weddings, so you get all the care and attention your day deserves.
Don’t just take my word for it—our Google reviews speak volumes.
“Do your homework”
Ask around. Read reviews. Chat with couples who’ve walked this path before. Word-of-mouth and honest feedback are gold when it comes to choosing someone you’ll trust with your wedding day vision.
“Know your vibe—and your florist should too“
Before you book, you should have a clear sense of the style, colour palette, and budget. Your florist should see your vision, and care just as much about bringing it to life as you do. This isn’t just a transaction—it’s a creative partnership.
✨ A few real talk flower facts:
• Most inspo pics are filtered, so expect natural beauty—not a Photoshop-perfect palette.
• White roses? They're usually ivory or cream. Playa Blanca is the closest to a true white (and yes, she’s imported).
• Those dreamy reflexed roses? They’re aged and softened to get that look, and while stunning, they don’t last long post-wedding.
• Flowers are natural wonders, and while we aim to match your palette beautifully, nature likes to do her own thing with shades and shapes.
• Availability can change with the weather—literally. Even in-season blooms can be affected by heatwaves, rain, or drought.
• Screens lie. Colours can look different on phones and computers, so always trust real-life palettes over pixels.
“Trust your florist”
The most magical results happen when you allow your florist to take the lead creatively. Share your vision, then give them the room to create something uniquely you.
